This painting was inspired by the many tea functions
that are held on Sunday morning
Many a Sunday I can remember my grandmother
getting dressed in her Sunday best, including hat of course,
and traipsing off to Sunday tea with the ladies
What fun I used to imagine those to be!
I'd listen to her tell bits and pieces of gossip
and news about town when she arrived home.
